Hear, Hear: Magnify Tickets Are Out And They’re Going Quick

I just had my first exam of the semester, and I'm feeling nothing less than ecstatic. Not because of my "midterm in January", but because TEDxOhioStateUniversity: Magnify is happening soon! We're happy to keep TED's mission of "ideas worth spreading" alive for another year. Magnify 2020 will showcase some of Ohio State's best ideas worth spreading, and this is definitely not the TEDxOhioStateUniversity event to overlook.

Mark your calendars because TEDxOhioStateUniversity: Magnify is less than a month away! On February 22nd, TEDxOhioStateUniversity: Magnify will create an experience built on unique ideation and emotion. Our lineup consists of 12 speakers and performers who will each explore a dimension of our society in a way you haven't seen before. Our mainly-undergraduate speakers and performers have created talks that will surely have you leave the event looking at our world differently.

Magnify will be breeding ground where seemingly disparate ideas interestingly build upon the other to hone in on prevalent topics. To give you a sneak peek at some of the talks, we have a spoken word performance by Imani Harris that will unveil how Hip-Hop isn't constrained to a musical genre; it's also a creative outlet that allows Black and Latinx creators to convey their truths. Greg Anderson, an academic historian, will explore the concept of the pluriverse, pick apart the topic to lessen its complexity, and introduce the pluriverse to challenge perceptions on how we conceptualize the past, present, and future. If those two speakers piqued your interest, keep an eye out for the next blog and follow our social media accounts @TEDxOhioStateU to stay up to date with upcoming speaker reveals.

The little snapshot of speakers discussed above should show you that Magnify isn't an event to miss. Tickets are on sale NOW, and hurry before tickets sell out. Pricing for tickets are $15 for students and $20 for non-students. Remember, tickets sell out quickly, so don't miss Imani's poetry nor Greg's edgy outlook on history.
