Welcome back to the TEDxOhioStateUniversity blog! With our speaker nomination form coming to a close this past Monday, our content committee is now hard at work sorting through all of your wonderful submissions and extending application offers to those who were nominated. If you missed the window to nominate someone, please direct yourself to our speaker application form. Through that form, you, or anyone else you think is qualified, can apply to be a speaker at our main event in the spring. Be sure to act fast though, because this form closes at the end of the week (Friday, October 28th).
Moving away from the main event, our outreach committee is back for season 2 of ConnecTED Columbus podcast! In the most recent episode, Irene and Arushi interview William Murdock, the Executive Director of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC). During the discussion, we look back at the history of Columbus that shaped our current landscape and the way we interact with it. Then, we discuss how MORPC envisions transportation, sustainability, and the natural landscape through a lens of social justice and equity. Be sure to check out this episode as well as the rest of our podcast catalog on Spotify and Apple Podcast!
Thanks for reading and we hope to see you at our future events, but in the meantime, follow our social media pages for updates on everything going on with TEDxOhioStateUniversity!
